How to measure
Lay a tee you already own flat. Length runs collar seam to hem. Width is armpit to armpit. Sleeve goes shoulder seam to cuff. Match those to the chart. Between two sizes, size up for room.
Care
Machine wash cold, max 30°C / 86°F. Non-chlorine bleach only when needed. Tumble dry low. Do not iron. Do not dry-clean.
Good to know
Specially spun fibres create a strong, smooth surface that prints clean. Cut tubular-knit in one piece with no side seams, it holds its shape and cuts fabric waste. The ribbed collar is seamless and highly elastic, keeping its shape wash after wash. Twill tape over the shoulder seams stabilizes the back and prevents stretching. Printed Direct-to-Garment on 5.3 oz 100% US cotton, true black. Ethically grown cotton under the US Cotton Trust Protocol, Oeko-Tex certified.
In 1970 Doubleday published Sexual Politics, Kate Millett's Columbia doctoral dissertation, which defined patriarchy as "the birthright priority whereby males rule females." Her point was that this was a system, built into the family and into the novels people were taught to admire, rather than a handful of bad men. Feminists spent the next two decades theorizing the word, and academics spent the ones after that arguing over it. Then it went back outside, onto protest signs at the 2017 Women's Marches and across internet memes. Three words, one verb, no footnotes. For people who brought their own hammer.
A Smash the Patriarchy graphic tee for feminists, protest marchers, and anyone who has been told to smile more. The slogan in heavy rounded capitals arched like a rainbow, a hammer on one end and a raised fist on the other. A gift for women's studies students, organizers, sisters, and every friend who sends the group chat articles.
