How to measure
Lay a tee you already own flat. Length runs collar seam to hem. Width is armpit to armpit. Sleeve goes shoulder seam to cuff. Match those to the chart. Between two sizes, size up for room.
Care
Machine wash cold, max 30°C / 86°F. Non-chlorine bleach only when needed. Tumble dry low. Do not iron. Do not dry-clean.
Good to know
Specially spun fibres create a strong, smooth surface that prints clean. Cut tubular-knit in one piece with no side seams, it holds its shape and cuts fabric waste. The ribbed collar is seamless and highly elastic, keeping its shape wash after wash. Twill tape over the shoulder seams stabilizes the back and prevents stretching. Printed Direct-to-Garment on 5.3 oz 100% US cotton, true black. Ethically grown cotton under the US Cotton Trust Protocol, Oeko-Tex certified.
She was never a portrait. Vermeer painted what the Dutch called a tronie, a study of a type rather than a likeness of a person, which is why nobody can tell you her name and why every theory about her has failed to stick. An invented girl with no biography outlasted every important commissioned sitter of her century. So the update costs her nothing. Same turban, same pearl, same look back over the shoulder, and a studded jacket that suits her better than anyone expected. For people who never needed the introduction.
A Girl with a Pearl Earring graphic tee for art history readers, Vermeer admirers, and anyone drawn to the ones who were never named. The Dutch Golden Age painting reworked in punk, the turban and the pearl kept, a spiked leather jacket and fishnet added, the over-the-shoulder glance unchanged. A gift for gallery regulars, painters, art students, and lovers of the anonymous.
