How to measure
Lay a tee you already own flat. Length runs collar seam to hem. Width is armpit to armpit. Sleeve goes shoulder seam to cuff. Match those to the chart. Between two sizes, size up for room.
Care
Machine wash cold, max 30°C / 86°F. Non-chlorine bleach only when needed. Tumble dry low. Do not iron. Do not dry-clean.
Good to know
Specially spun fibres create a strong, smooth surface that prints clean. Cut tubular-knit in one piece with no side seams, it holds its shape and cuts fabric waste. The ribbed collar is seamless and highly elastic, keeping its shape wash after wash. Twill tape over the shoulder seams stabilizes the back and prevents stretching. Printed Direct-to-Garment on 5.3 oz 100% US cotton, true black. Ethically grown cotton under the US Cotton Trust Protocol, Oeko-Tex certified.
It sold badly and the reviews were worse. One London paper called it an ill-compounded mixture of romance and matter-of-fact, and it moved fewer copies than anything else Melville had written. The book was out of print when he died in 1891, and the revival did not begin until the 1920s. The whale in the story is not hunted so much as survived, carrying the broken irons of everyone who tried before. Six hundred pages of obsession and he still loses. For people who came around to it on the second attempt.
A Moby Dick graphic tee for literature readers, Melville admirers, and anyone whose favourite book was ignored in its own time. The white whale breaching with old harpoons still buried in its head and lines trailing, cut against blue lightning. A gift for English majors, sailors, librarians, and the pleasantly obsessive.
